Martin is our Managing Director and has been with the Accountancy Co-operative since Sept.1994, and is a Licenced Practitioner and Fellow Member of The AAT (The Association of Accounting Technicians) and The IFA (Institute of Financial Accountants) which means that he is licenced to engage in public practice in the following areas:

Accountancy (Book-Keeping, Financial Accounting & Accounts Preparation, Budgeting & Forecasting, Management Accounting, Payroll)

Taxation (Value Added Tax, Personal Income Tax, Business Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax)

Consultancy (Business Plans, Computerised Accountancy Systems, Company Secretarial Services, Independent Examination)

Martin is a Fellow Member of the FTA (Federation of Tax Advisors) and is able to provide a full range of tax planning and advice services.

Martin comes from a management accountancy (corporate & industrial) and hospitality management background, giving him a useful practical perspective in hotel and catering businesses, and management accounting for limited companies. His professional experience also covers general financial accounting, VAT, PAYE and income tax, as well as business development for small companies and the self-employed. He has also worked as treasurer for a church charity and is a Full Member of the Association of Charity Independent Examiners.

Martin has a particular interest in the set-up and development of computer systems, which has given him a good solid knowledge of the Sage Accounting and Payroll packages.
